Washingtonville Man Admits Selling Fentanyl In Overdose
A Hudson Valley man has pleaded guilty to selling fentanyl to an area man who died from an overdose.
Orange County resident Timothy Lempicki, age 36, of Washingtonville, a village in Blooming Grove, pled guilty on Wednesday, April 3, to the crimes of manslaughter and criminal sale of a controlled substance in connection with the death of a man who was found dead in New Windsor on Sunday, July 17, 2022.
An autopsy revealed that the man had died due to a fatal overdose of fentanyl, said Orange County District Attorney David Hoovler.

Hudson Valley Duo Nabbed With Gun, Drugs By Task Force, Police Say
A Hudson Valley man and woman were allegedly nabbed with a loaded gun and drugs during an operation by a drug task force.
The arrests took place in Dutchess County, on Thursday, Feb. 15 in Poughkeepsie.
According to Sgt. Adam Harris of the Dutchess County Drug Task Force, James E. Morris, age 51, and Jonette Drake, age 43, both of Poughkeepsie, were charged after an investigation into drug sales in the area.
The two were busted when Morris sold cocaine to the Drug Task Force multiple times, said Harris.

Three men face numerous charges after allegedly trafficking ghost guns, assault weapons, and large quantities of cocaine from Massachusetts to New York, officials said.
The trafficking operation was taken down on Wednesday, March 15 after a 16-month investigation by the New York State Office of the Attorney General’s Organized Crime Task Force and the New York Drug Enforcement Task Force, New York Attorney General Letitia James announced.

A 31-year-old man was nabbed during a warrant search with a cache of drugs and a stolen .22 Ruger rifle.
Sullivan County resident Anthony Janik, of Livingston Manor, was busted on Monday, June 8, by the New York State Police following an investigation into drug sales, said Trooper Steven Nevel.
During the search, investigators seized 41.5 grams of heroin, Diazepam, Ecstacy, Lyrica, glassine envelopes, and a stolen .22 Ruger rifle.

An area woman has been sentenced to four years in state prison for selling heroin to a woman who later died from an overdose.
Orange County resident Ashley Parker, 27, of Deerpark, was sentenced on Wednesday, Jan. 22, in connection with the May 2019 death of a Port Jervis woman, said Orange County District Attorney David M. Hoovler.
According to the District Attorney's office, Parker pleaded guilty to criminally negligent homicide and criminal sale of a controlled substance on Nov. 14, 2019.

An area man is facing a host of charges after a drug raid of his home led to the seizure of drugs and cash, police said.
The Town of Warwick Police Department executed a search warrant at Yeun’s Pine Island home on Glenwood Road last week, following a four-month investigation, officials said. During the search, officials seized cocaine, marijuana, and cash.
Police said that the investigation came following reports of drug sales in Pine Island. In total, more than six grams of cocaine, a half-pound of marijuana and more than $1,800 in cash was seized.

Man Admits To Selling Heroin That Led To Overdose Death In Area
A 29-year-old man has admitted selling heroin to an area resident who died of an overdose.
Alban K. Rowe, 29, of Walden, pleaded guilty on Friday, June 21 before Orange County Court Judge Robert H. Freehill, to criminal sale of a controlled substance for having sold heroin to the man at a residence in the Village of Montgomery, at approximately 3 a.m., on July 18, 2018, Orange County District Attorney David Hoovlersaid.
The man subsequently died of a heroin overdose, Hoovler said.

Ashley Parker, 27, of Huguenot, was arrested on Friday, May 31 by Port Jervis Police after the death of a 37-year-old Port Jervis woman, said Port Jervis Police Chief William Worden.
