A Hudson Valley cafe that opened a little over a year ago has become a beloved neighborhood destination, according to foodies and casual diners.
The Four Star Cafe in Rockland County, in Congers, is known for its small plates, pizzas, good food, and stiff drinks.
Yelper Global M. said: "Should be called five-star cafe. Nothing else to say beyond that. Good food. Good service. Especially make sure to get dessert."

Seven Hudson Valley residents have been charged with allegedly selling drugs in cities and towns throughout the area.
The residents were reportedly selling cocaine, fentanyl, and prescription pills in the Village of Spring Valley, the Town of Clarkstown, and the Town and Village of Haverstraw, Rockland County District Attorney Thomas E. Walsh II announced on Thursday, Oct. 26.

An area contractor has been indicted for allegedly providing false information to obtain required workers' compensation insurance.
Rockland County resident Anthony Frascone, age 51, of Congers, and owner of Alpha-Omega, was indicted by a Rockland County grand jury on Friday, Jan. 14, for two counts of grand larceny and insurance fraud, said Rockland County District Attorney Thomas E. Walsh.

Police have identified the person killed during a single-vehicle crash that also severely injured another person.
Mark Savino, age 35, a lifelong resident of Congers, in Rockland County, was killed around 11:45 p.m., Friday, Sept. 24, when the vehicle he was in hit a utility pole, overturned, ejecting both occupants.
The crash took place in the area of Lake Road and Route 9W in Congers, Detective Norm Peters said of the Clarkstown Police.

One Killed, Another Hospitalized After Car Crashes Into Utility Pole In Hudson Valley
One person was killed and another hospitalized with severe injuries during a single-vehicle Hudson Valley crash overnight.
It happened around 11:45 p.m., Friday, Sept. 24 in Rockland County in the area of Lake Road and Route 9W in Congers.
Officers arriving on the scene discovered an overturned car that had struck a utility pole, said Detective Norm Peters of the Clarkstown Police Department.
The vehicle was occupied by two men, who were both ejected, Peters said.
The driver of the vehicle, age 35, was pronounced dead at the scene by Rockland Paramedics.

A 16-year-old was rescued after falling about 30 feet off a mountain in Rockland County.
The Clarkstown Police Department deployed a drone to help assist with the rescue of an injured hiker at Hook Mountain, located in Rockland Lake State Park, located in the hamlets of Congers and Valley Cottage, on Friday night, May 22.
The teen, who sustained unspecified injuries, was removed from the mountain and transported to an area hospital by Congers Valley Cottage Ambulance and Medic 5.

Covid-19: Here's Latest Rundown Of Rockland County Cases By Municipalities
Rockland County continued to see new, but now moderate amounts, of cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
On Tuesday, May 5, 46 new cases were reported, bringing the total number of cases to 12,144 since the pandemic began, according to the state Department of Health.
There have been 551 deaths from the virus in the county, Rockland County Health officials said.
There are currently 169 people hospitalized that are confirmed, a slight increase; and 15 hospitalized cases that are under investigation.

The number of cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to climb as the death toll rises in Rockland County, according to the Department of Health.
There are currently 9,171 reported cases, according to New York State Health officials.
As of Monday, April 20, there are still 245 confirmed COVID-19 patients who are hospitalized, with an additional 193 cases pending.
Since the outbreak began, there have been 334 COVID-19 related deaths.
