Cabbie Robbed At Gunpoint, Hit In Head With Weapon In Nanuet, Police Say
Police are asking the public for help identifying two men who allegedly robbed a cabbie at gunpoint and then hit him in the head with the weapon.
The incident took place around 5:20 a.m., Thursday, July 11, on Spring Brook Road in Nanuet, said the Clarkstown Police Department.
According to police, the victim, a 58-year-old taxi driver, reported he picked up two men from Spring Valley and drove them to Spring Brook Road. After the men paid the fare, one of the men allegedly pulled out a "tan" handgun and demanded the cabbie's money, phone, tablet, and car keys, police said.

An area man has been arrested for his part in the alleged armed robbery of a man attempting to sell his cell phone.
Members of the Monticello police arrested Taleek D. Clark, 18, of Monticello on Thursday, Jan. 3, and charged him with felony attempted robbery and robbery in the second degree for the incident which took place around 6 p.m. Dec. 20, said Lt. Mark Johnstone.

A Westchester County man already behind bars has admitted to his role in the murder of a Mount Vernon man during a 12-hour crime spree last year.
Sincere Smith, 23, of New Rochelle, has pleaded guilty to manslaughter in relation to the death of Trevon Boswell last year during a spree of violent robberies in Mount Vernon, New Rochelle, and Yonkers.

Area police are on the hunt for two armed robbery suspects, after catching two who robbed a man at gunpoint at his home.The crime took place on Friday, Nov. 23 in the Town of Montgomery when the four confronted the victim at his home, struck him in the face and stole more than $3,000 in cash, said the Town of Montgomery police.
