Trees Crash Onto Car In Rockland A car was smashed when several trees fell on top of its roof. The incident took place in Rockland County on Stone Meadow Lane in Airmont on Monda afternoon, June 8, said the Ramapo Police. The road is currently blocked as Village of Airmont road crews work to cut and remove the trees from the vehicle, which was unoccupied. This is a developing story. The fire was reported around 3:20 p.m. on Doremus Road in Mahwah just off East Crescent Avenue (which becomes Church Road in NY), barely 500 yards from the Airmont line. Flames spread to the eaves and parts of the interior of the home as firefighters from several companies converged on the scene. The fire then went to three alarms for coverage about 45 minutes later. The 18-year-old son of the homeowner was hosting a party where 11 guests ranging in age of 18 to 19 years were under the influence of alcohol, police said. First responders in Ramapo were dispatched to Cragmere Road at approximately 6:30 p.m. on Friday, July 5, where there was a report of a one-car crash involving a mid-sized Subaru.
