New York State Police announced that 30-year-old John Elliott was arrested on Monday following investigations into three Orange County robberies over the span of nearly a year.
Police said that Elliott was charged with an armed robbery that occurred on Dec. 23 last year at Charming Charlie in Monroe. He was additionally charged with the armed Valentine’s Day robbery of Edible Arrangements in this year and the robbery of Sally Beauty in Monroe on Dec. 12.
Elliott was arrested and charged with felony counts of first-degree and third-degree robbery. Following arraignment, he was remanded to the Orange County Jail in lieu of $350,000 cash bail or $1 million bond. He is due back in the Town of Wallkill Court at a later date to answer the charge.
State police investigators are requesting anyone with information to any of these cases, as well as any other robberies that Elliott may have been involved with, to contact police by calling (845) 782-8311.
