Police believe the unidentified boy took his own life around 1 a.m. on Wednesday in his Chester home, News 12 Westchester reported.
Monroe-Woodbury Superintendent Elsie Rodriguez released a statement informing parents that a student had died.
The district's psychologists are available for students as well as the Orange County Crisis team.
"It is always difficult to comprehend the loss of a young life," Rodriguez said in a statement. "Our heartfelt condolences go out to the student’s family, friends and the entire M-W community."
