The restaurant line-up for The Valley Table’s fall 2017 Hudson Valley Restaurant Week (HVRW) is live, with 200 participating restaurants throughout Orange, Westchester, Dutchess, Rockland, Putnam, Sullivan and Ulster counties.
Running from Monday, Oct. 30 to Sunday, Nov. 12, Fall 2017 HVRW welcomes a brand new, creative element: Purple, as in purple produce.
Chefs this year are encouraged to experiment with violet vegetables such as cauliflower, Japanese eggplant, potatoes, beets, kale, carrots, peppers and Brussels sprouts in appetizers, entrees, and desserts.
More than 80 percent of Hudson Valley Restaurant Week’s participating chefs and restaurateurs use locally-sourced ingredients in support of area farms, winemakers, artisanal producers and purveyors.
Some of the many restaurants that are new to HVRW include The Amsterdam in Rhinebeck, a modern-American restaurant serving farm-to-table fare; Juniper in Hastings-on-Hudson, a cozy cafe offering New American cuisine; Heritage Food + Drink in Wappinger Falls, with a menu of Southern-inspired farm to table dishes; and Stagecoach Inn in Goshen, offering an elegant, Continental menu and more.
No passes, tickets or coupons are required but reservations are highly recommended.
Covering 115 miles, HVRW provides diners with three-course, prix-fixe dinners for $32.95 and lunches for $22.95. The list of participating restaurants can be found at www.hudsonvalleyrestaurantweek.com.
