Hudson Valley Teen Runaway Nabbed For Stealing Cars, Burglary, Theft, Police Say
A 16-year-old runaway in the region has been nabbed for allegedly stealing two vehicles, burglary, and theft.
The arrest occurred in Ulster County on Tuesday, Oct. 22, in the town of Lloyd.
According to Lloyd Police Chief James Janso, the Lake Katrine teen was charged after a month-long investigation found the boy allegedly stole two vehicles, entered a residence, stole a cell phone and iPad, and took alcohol from a convenience store in Highland.

Man From Region Nabbed For Commercial Burglary, Police Say
A man from the region has been charged with two counts of burglary for allegedly breaking into the same business twice and stealing property.
The incidents occurred in Sullivan County at the Taam Eden Baker at Mountain Square Mall in Monticello on Tuesday, Aug. 27, and Thursday, Aug. 29.
According to Monticello Police Lt. Mark Johnstone, Ishmiel Agapito, age 24, of Monticello, was charged on Monday, Sept. 2, following an investigation.
Johnstone said Agapito was caught on surveillance forcing his way in through a rear door and stole property from inside the business.

Hudson Valley Man Sentenced For 2 Violent Rapes
A Hudson Valley man will spend the next 25 years in prison for raping and beating a woman twice.
Rockland County resident Rigoberto Lopez Castro, age 26, of Spring Valley, was sentenced on Wednesday, June 5, to a total of 25 years for the two rapes and one count of burglary, said Rockland County District Attorney Thomas E. Walsh II.
On Monday, Sept. 12, 2022, Castro forcibly raped the victim, a woman previously known to him, the DA's office said.

Alleged Hudson Valley Burglar, Nabbed Again For 4 Crimes
A Hudson Valley man who was charged earlier this month for alleged burglary and was released on an appearance ticket has been arrested again, this time for four new burglaries.
Rockland County resident Dairin Aguirre, age 21, of Spring Valley, was charged with the new crimes on Monday, May 20.
According to Det. Matthew Galli of the Spring Valley Police, Aguirre, was arrested on Thursday, May 9, for allegedly breaking into a business at 230 West Route 59 in Spring Valley. He was released on an appearance ticket.
