First In NY: 'Sensory Inclusive' Tools Now Standard Equipment For This Police Department A police department on Long Island is the first in New York to become certified sensory inclusive. The Village of Rockville Centre Police Department was certified by KultureCity, a nonprofit organization that typically trains venue staff to accommodate people with sensory needs, like those with autism. Man Killed, Two Others Including 13-Year-Old Injured In Capital Region Shooting A man was killed and two others, including a 13-year-old boy, were injured in a late-night shooting in the region. Albany Police were called at around 1:45 a.m. Wednesday, June 5, for shots fired in the West Hill neighborhood, near Second and Quail streets. Officers found a 46-year-old woman who was shot in the leg and a 13-year-old boy suffering from a graze bullet wound to his arm. Both victims were taken to Albany Medical Center Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
