Nearly three dozen businesses outside of New York City made the “Top 100 Bagel Shops in New York 2024” ranking by Yelp. To come up with its list, the restaurant review site identified businesses in the bagel category, then ranked those spots using a number of factors, including the total volume and ratings of reviews. Cherished Winter Walk Will End After 26 Years In Region For nearly three decades, a beloved Capital Region winter event will end due to ballooning costs and a lack of donations. On Friday, Sept. 20, the city announced that the Winter Walk, which took place in Columbia County in Hudson Hall, will not occur in 2024. Popular Hudson Valley Restaurant Closes After Nearly Half-Century In Business A popular Hudson Valley Mexican restaurant in business for 48 years has closed. El Bandido Mexican Restaurant, located in Rockland County in Spring Valley on Route 59, recently closed without a word to the community, according to the Rockland Report. The restaurant was known for a guitarist strolling from table to table, its mole chicken, and its family-friendly atmosphere.  The Tello Family ran the restaurant for 48 years.
