The incident occurred in Orange County early Thursday, Sept. 19, in Chester. According to Chester Police Chief Daniel Doellinger, officers responded to the Chester Academy after a student reported having seen a threat of violence posted on social media. Update: Man Found Submerged In Lake In Region ID'd This story has been updated. New York State Police have identified a man who was found in a 2003 Toyota submerged in a Hudson Valley lake. The vehicle was found in Orange County around 1:30 p.m., Monday, Sept. 9, in the village of Florida. According to Trooper Steven Nevel of the New York State Police, the department's Underwater Recovery Team responded to Glenmere Lake and began recovery with the Forensics Identification Unit and the Florida Battalion Dive Team. 2-Year-Old Struck, Killed By SUV In Hudson Valley An investigation is underway after a 2-year-old girl was struck and killed by a van in the Hudson Valley. The incident occurred in Rockland County at 3:10 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 9, on Calvert Drive in the village of Kaser in Ramapo. According to Ramapo Police Lt. Michael Gannon, responding officers found the child was struck by a 2014 Honda Odyssey and had sustained life-threatening injuries.  The girl was transported to Nyack Hospital by Hatzolah Ambulance and later died from her injuries, Gannon said. Fatal House Fire: 84-Year-Old Woman ID'd As Victim In Capital Region Blaze Authorities have identified a woman who died in a house fire in the region. The Saratoga County incident happened in the town of Milton, at a residence on Greenwood Drive, at around 5 p.m. Saturday, July 27. Ballston Spa Fire officials said several agencies responded for a house that was on fire and possibly occupied. Once the flames were extinguished and firefighters got inside, they found the body of an 84-year-old woman. On Tuesday, July 30, the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office identified the victim as Mary Lou Cotton, of Milton. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
