Northern Westchester Resident Cited For Efforts To Make 'Ultimate Energy-Efficient Home' A Northern Westchester resident has received national recognition for his efforts to create the ultimate energy-efficient home almost completely from scratch.  Ossining resident Daniel Colombini was honored with a 2024 US Department of Energy Housing Innovation Award for his "passive house," according to Goldman Copeland, the New York City-based consulting engineering firm where he is a Principal.  Colombini's house is one of only 24 in the country to receive the honor and one of only two in New York. Hudson Valley Man Behind Bars For Making Terroristic Threat, Police Say A Hudson Valley man has been charged with allegedly making a terroristic threat and narcotics possession after threatening to blow up a government building. Ulster County resident Michael J. Bassile, age 37, of Esopus, was arrested on Monday, July 15, by the Ulster County Sheriff's Office. According to Capt.
