High School Student In Hudson Valley Dies After Brave Battle With Cancer
A Hudson Valley high school student who lived in Connecticut has died at the age of 16 after he was diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer. Matthew Dooley died at his home on Wednesday, Jan. 5, following his battle with a glioblastoma brain tumor, according to his obituary. He is survived by his parents, Michael and Jane Dooley, his sisters, his grandmother and his uncles. The Hudson Valley is home to some of New York’s best - and most expensive - private schools in the country, according to a recently released report by the Private School Review. Hudson Valley Basketball Standout Transferring From Syracuse
After helping Cinderella Syracuse make its way to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament, former Hudson Valley standout Braedon Bayer announced his intention to transfer from the university. The Dutchess County product, who starred as a two-time team captain at the Trinity-Pawling School in Pawling, was a walk-on for the Orange two years ago after transferring from Grinnell College.
