Mercedes Theft Leads To Arrest Of Hudson Valley Man For DWI/Drugs, Police Say A Hudson Valley man nabbed for the alleged theft of a 2005 gold Mercedes from a Budget 19 Motel led to his arrest for a host of charges, including alleged DWI/Drugs.  The incident occurred in Ulster County around 8 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 3, at the Budget 19 Motel on Route 28 in Kingston. According to State Police Trooper Steven Nevel, in a preliminary investigation, the stolen car was involved in a collision with a 2021 Ford. Drunk Driver Strikes Hudson Valley Residence, Crashes Into Creek, Sheriff Says A man from the region is accused of driving drunk and crashing into a house before ending up in a nearby creek, police said. The wreck happened at around 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 26 in Ulster County near Sawkill and Melissa roads in Kingston, the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office said. When deputies arrived they found the car in Sawkill Creek and assisted the driver in exiting the vehicle, police said. Man Wanted For Breaking Into Friend's Home, Stealing Items, State Police Say A man who was busted stealing items from his friend’s home in the Hudson Valley is wanted by New York State Police. An alert was issued by New York State Police Troop F in Kingston for former New Paltz resident Edward Polesovsky, who is wanted following his arrest for third-degree criminal possession of stolen property after allegedly breaking into a friend's house. Police said that Polesovsky was arrested after stealing jewelry and tools from a friend, and when he was taken into custody by investigators, he was still in possession of some of the stolen items.
