All government buildings have been closed for the day due to a non-specific threat emailed to a county in the region. 33-Year-Old Woman Charged After 2-Year-Old Dies In Hot Car In Region
A woman has been charged after a 2-year-old died in a hot car in the region. On Tuesday, July 16 at approximately 6:45 p.m. in Sullivan County, police responded to a 911 call of a child left in a vehicle at the Sleepy Hollow Apartment Complex in Monticello. Upon arrival, officers located a 2-year-old boy in a 2012 Ford Explorer suffering from cardiac arrest, New York State Police said. A woman from the region is being held without bail after allegedly setting fire to an apartment using an accelerant. The incident occurred in Sullivan County around 5:20 p.m., on Tuesday, July 16 at the Libery Common Apartment Complex in village of Liberty. A New Jersey woman was killed in upstate New York over the weekend when a tree fell on her camper during fierce thunderstorms that ripped through the region, authorities said.
