A motorcyclist suffered serious injuries after a crash involving a pickup truck on Route 9W in Rockland County. It happened at about 10 p.m. Monday, July 8, when the motorcycle, driven by a man in his 20s from Tomkins Cove, collided with the pickup truck that was driven by a 29-year-old man from New City, Stony Point Police said. A 20-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly breaking into a home by shattering a window while the Rockland County homeowner was asleep. Jeffrey Ramirez, of Garnerville, was arrested on Friday, June 28, after the Stony Point Police received a 911 around 3:15 a.m., from the resident on De Halve Mean Drive, that someone was breaking into his home, said Stony Police Lt. A Garnerville man is facing charges after an alleged domestic disturbance led to violent threats, according to Stony Point Police. Officers were called to the area around Ridgetop Drive in Tomkins Cove just before 2 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 3. A man involved in the dispute said that the defendant, Branden Williams, 27, allegedly revealed a handgun and made threats, although he wasn’t involved in the dispute himself. A 43-year-old Stony Point man is facing multiple charges after alleging making purchases with a credit card stolen from a relative. Phillip DeSimone, 43, was arrested around 1 p.m. Wed., Oct. 31, for grand larceny and criminal possession of stolen property after stealing a relative's credit card to make unauthorized purchases in Haverstraw, said Stony Point Police Lt. Investigation Underway After Razor Blade Found In Halloween Candy
Police are warning parents in a Hudson Valley town to check their children's Halloween candy after a razor blade was found inside a candy bar. Stony Point Police said that a razor blade was found inside a "mini" Twix candy bar.
