A 50-year-old Hudson Valley man who was killed in a head-on crash when police say another vehicle attempted to pass two cars, was a popular life coach and event planner in the area.

Police have identified a person killed during a head-on crash in the Hudson Valley.
Erin T. Clancy, a 50-year-old man, was killed in Dutchess County around 5:50 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 7, in Pleasant Valley, said New York State Police Trooper AJ Hicks.
Troopers responded to Route 44 near Brown Road for a report of a head-on collision. Woman Killed After Crashing Into Tree On Taconic Parkway
A 65-year-old woman was killed after losing control of her vehicle in a heavy rainstorm on the Taconic State Parkway.
Fatos Kaba, of Queens, was killed around 12:41 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 29, northbound on the parkway in Dutchess County, in the town of Stanford, said New York State Police Trooper AJ Hicks.
When troopers arrived on the scene, they found a 2008 Honda Fit was found in the center median, Hicks said.

Man Recorded His Sexual Assault Of Child In Area, State Police Say
A man has been accused of recording his sexual abuse of a child, state police said.
On Friday, Aug. 28, State Police from the Poughkeepsie barracks responded to an address in the town of Stanford for a report of sexual assault.
An investigation revealed Santiago A. Andujar, 41, of Stanford, recorded his sexual assault of a child Andujar was familiar with, state police said.
Andujar was arrested and charged with:

New York State Police arrested a 27-year-old woman for alleged DWI after he allegedly crashed into a utility pole.
Victoria R. Wheaton, of Pittsfield, Massachusetts, was arrested around 10 a.m., Tuesday, April 21, after troopers responded to a crash in the town of Stanford, said Trooper AJ Hicks.
When troopers responded to Route 82 they found a vehicle had crashed into a utility pole. An investigation determined that Wheaton failed to maintain her lane and struck the pole while allegedly driving drunk.

These Hudson Valley Towns Rank Among Highest In State For Most Black Bears Taken In 2018
Hunters in the Hudson Valley were among the most proficient in taking bears, according to the DEC’s Black Bear Harvest summary.
During the 2018-2019 hunting season, New Yorkers hunted down 1,295 black bears statewide, a decrease of 125 from the previous year.
Of the bears that were hunted, 349 were killed by bow, 66 were killed by a muzzleloader and 11 were taken by youth hunters. In the Southern Zone, 804 bears were killed, 60 percent of which were male, and 491 bears were killed in the Northern Zone.

ID's Released In Hudson Valley Triple-Fatal Crash
Two men and a woman from Dutchess County have been identified as the victims of a horrific crash when their vehicle rammed into a tree and landed on the front porch of a home earlier this week.
John A. Perry, 46, and Kelly L. Perry, 40, both of Stanford, and Michael V. Lasher, 35, of LaGrange, died around 10:45 p.m. Monday, when the 2000 Chevrolet Blazer in which they crashed into a tree on Route 82, said New York State Police Trooper AJ Hicks.
After hitting the tree, the vehicle caught fire and landed on the house's porch, he added.
