A Hudson Valley man has been nabbed for allegedly kidnapping a woman and her two children at knifepoint and forcing her to withdraw money from her bank account. The incident took place in Dutchess County around 6:45 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 6 in the city of Poughkeepsie. According to Det. Sgt. Man With Handgun Leads Police On Chase Through School Zone In Area
A man is in custody after he threatened the security guard of a residential building with an "Uzi-type handgun," then fled from police on foot, causing an area elementary school to lock down after running through a school zone with the loaded weapon, said police. Maceo B. Man Who Reported Being Shot May Not Have Been, Police Say
A man who told police he was shot in the buttocks while walking down the street, might not have been shot after doctors couldn't find a bullet hole. The incident took place around 2:26 .m., Sunday, May 17, when the City of Poughkeepsie Police received a 911 call reporting a person shot in the of Spruce Street.
