ID Released For Teen Killed In I-84 Crash A teenager who was killed in a fiery crash on I-84 has been identified. Danbury resident Liam Declan Devine, 17, was driving west on I-84 shortly before 10:30 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 17 near Exit 9 in Newtown when he lost control of his vehicle, Connecticut State Police said. Devine traveled through the grass out of control, over an embankment and into a tree. When Devine struck the tree, his vehicle became fully engulfed in flames. Following a national search, Marist College in Poughkeepsie has named sports journalist Jane McManus as the Director of the College’s Center for Sports Communication, effective as of Dec. 1. McManus, a longtime Ossining resident who was a reporter and broadcaster for ESPN, has been covering sports in New York for two decades, including 18 U.S. Opens, five Super Bowls, two NCAA Final Fours, and the inaugural season of the New York Liberty WNBA team.
