Sullivan County resident Keith Nash, age 31, of South Fallsburg was arrested on Thursday, Feb. 15 by the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office on a family court child support warrant. According to Sullivan County Undersheriff Eric Chaboty, Nash owed $1,200 in support payments. The Sullivan County Department of Public Health has confirmed that a stray cat euthanized in the South Fallsburg area tested positive for the rabies virus.  "Exposed persons are currently receiving appropriate treatment," the department said. Man Accused Of Stabbing Grandfather In Region An area man has been arrested for allegedly stabbing his grandfather. The incident took place in Sullivan County on Friday, Dec. 16, in South Fallsburg. According to Undersheriff Eric Chaboty, of the Sullivan County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to a report of a person who had been stabbed and sought treatment at an urgent care facility in Monticello. Once at the clinic, the man, who had been stabbed in the abdomen, was rushed by ambulance to Garnet Hospital in Harris, Chaboty said. The victim was then transported to Garnet Orange Regional Medical Center where he underwent surgery.…

The crash took place around 12:30 p.m., Friday, May 21 in Sullivan County on Route 42 in the area of South Fallsburg, the Sullivan County Sheriff's Office said. Currently, Route 42 is closed in both directions between South Fallsburg and Fallsburg.  Motorists are asked to seek alternate routes, as the closure will be indefinite. ID Released For Woman Killed In Two-Vehicle Crash A woman killed in a two-vehicle crash in the Hudson Valley has been identified.  It happened around 6:30 a.m., Friday, Feb. 21, in Sullivan County on Route 42 and Larsen Lane in South Fallsburg, said Fallsburg Police Det.
