Crash Causes Hours-Long Road Closure In Hudson Valley A serious traffic crash in the Hudson Valley is causing an hours-long road closure. The crash occurred in Rockland County early on Friday, Sept. 13, on Route 45 in Ramapo. According to the Ramapo Police, Orange & Rockland Utilities will close Route 45 at Rensselaer and New Hempstead for the next 8 to 12 hours while working on repairs.  The department is asking drivers to plan an alternative route. There is no word from the police on the status of any injuries.  This is a developing story. Check back to Daily Voice for updates.

Sean M. Stedge-Stroud, 30, was arrested On Sunday, June 16, around 3:39 a.m., after the deputy saw them acting suspiciously near a residence along the roadway on Route 45 in Ramapo, said Rockland Rockland Sheriff's Department Sgt. Christopher Corbett. Designated Driver Charged With DWI In Route 45 Stop A Rockland County man who was supposed to be acting as a designated driver was busted for DWI by police in Ramapo during an early morning stop on Route 45. A Ramapo Police Department officer on patrol at approximately 2 a.m. on Monday morning spotted a driver - whose name was not released pending processing - driving erratically on Route 45.
