Covid-19: Stop & Shop Extends Pay Raise For 56,000 Workers
Stop & Shop and the United Food and Commercial Workers Union (UFCW) have announced the extension of a 10-percent pay increase for hourly store workers through Saturday, July 4 amid the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
The measure covers approximately 56,000 associates in over 400 stores throughout Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New York and New Jersey.

Covid-19: NY, NJ, CT Join New Multi-State Consortium For Medical Supplies
On Day 64 of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the governors of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut announced the formation of a joint seven-state agreement to develop a regional supply chain for personal protective equipment, other medical equipment and testing.
Other states involved in the initiative are Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Delaware and Rhode Island.

Millions of dollars in grants can be withheld by President Donald Trump’s administration over “sanctuary laws,” a federal appeals court in New York ruled.
The 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals in Manhattan ruled opposite three other federal courts on Wednesday, Feb. 26, confirming that the president’s administration can withhold grants to New York City and seven states - New York, Connecticut, New Jersey, Washington, Massachusetts, Virginia, and Rhode Island.
