A man trying to flee police at high speed suffered catastrophic injuries after hitting a tractor-trailer in Orange County, including a partially amputated hand, authorities said.
The crash occurred on Wednesday, Feb. 26, at around 2:45 a.m., when Town of Wallkill Police Officers tried to stop a speeding vehicle near East Main Street and Midway Park Drive, the department announced.

The two Tennessee teens who fired at Pennsylvania State Troopers during a multi-state crime spree have been captured in Hartford, Connecticut, authorities announced.
Jeremiah Begley, 17, and Christian Guerrero Jr., 17, were taken into custody on Thursday, Feb. 27, with the assistance of the U.S. Marshals Service, Hartford Police, and the PSP Fugitive Apprehension Unit, state police said.
