Eye Of The Storm: Timing, Latest Snowfall Projections Brand-new projected snowfall totals for the storm that is sweeping through the area Monday morning were released early Sunday evening by the National Weather Service. The quick-moving storm system could now bring up to 5 inches of snowfall to most of the area. Snowfall rates of around one inch per hour are possible Monday morning. And that's no April Fool's Day joke. But it is unusual -- to say the least. The last time New York City and the surrounding area saw 2 inches or more of accumulating snow in April was April 7, 2003. Wanted Spring Valley Man Nabbed In New Jersey A 31-year-old Rockland man was arrested on an outstanding warrant after a traffic stop in New Jersey, authorities said Friday. Mario McIntyre of Spring Valley was stopped by police in Fair Lawn, NJ, before dawn on March 14 because of a defective problem with his lights, authorities said. A computer check turned up a warrant out of the Passaic County, NJ town of Hawthorne, Fair Lawn Sgt. Brian Metzler said. McIntyre was issued a summons for improper maintenance of vehicle lamps and released after posting bail on the outstanding warrant, the sergeant said.
