Area Woman Stole $42K In Payments From Dead Mother, NYS Comptroller Says
Nearly $42,000 has been recovered from a 63-year-old woman who allegedly stole it from her dead mother’s pension payments, New York State Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli announced. Dutchess County resident Bonnie Robertson, 63, of Pleasant Valley, was sentenced to three years probation and agreed to pay full restitution after pleading guilty to petit larceny earlier this year, DiNapoli announced. These Area City, Town Workers Are Among Highest Paid In Upstate New York
Hudson Valley municipalities pay their employees some of the top salaries in upstate New York, according to a newly released study. Citing data from the New York State and Local Retirement System based on regular, overtime pay and unused vacation time, Empire Center’s 2018 “ What They Make ” report determined which town, city, and village employees are getting paid the most. Pension contributions, health insurance, and other benefits were not factored into the data.
