Man Sentenced For Killing Wife During Dispute At Home In Westchester
A man has been sentenced for stabbing his wife to death during a dispute at her Westchester home.
Kirk Fisher, age 60, of the Bronx, was sentenced on Thursday, Sept. 29, to 20 years in state prison for killing his wife Kaya Green, at her Mount Vernon home, said Westchester County District Attorney Miriam Rocah.
“This is a devastating case of domestic violence and we hope the family of Kaya Green has some sense of closure,” Rocah said.

A Westchester County resident claimed a "$1,000 A Week For Life" lottery prize.
Shawn Grey, of Mount Vernon, won his CASH4LIFE second prize from the drawing held on Saturday, June 25, New York Lottery announced on Thursday, Sept. 22.
The winning numbers for the drawing were 03 46 49 55 60 Cash Ball 01, the lottery reported.
Grey chose to receive his prize as an annuity, and he received his first payment of $33,788, NY Lottery said.

Reward Offered After 2 Injured, Emaciated Dogs Found In Westchester
Authorities are investigating after two pit bulls, one of them pregnant, were found emaciated and abused, roaming around Westchester County.
The first dog was found at around 9 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 13, in Mount Vernon, near Seneca Avenue and East 5th Street, according to a Facebook post shared by the Mount Vernon Animal Shelter.
The tan colored female, who was pregnant at the time, was emaciated and had wounds all over her face.
On Wednesday, Sept. 14, a second tan colored pit bull was found in the same area. It was also emaciated and suffering from wounds on its face.

Officials unveiled the long-awaited new Memorial Field Complex in Westchester County.
The ribbon-cutting event for the newly-updated field in Mount Vernon, hosted by Westchester County Executive George Latimer and City of Mount Vernon Mayor Shawyn Patterson-Howard on Wednesday, Sept. 21.
