1 Burglary Suspect In Custody, 2 On Loose After Police Pursuit Ends In Rockland One burglary suspect is in custody but two others remain at large after a police pursuit from Bergen County ended in Rockland overnight. On Saturday, Nov. 2, at approximately 7:50 p.m., the Clarkstown Police Department assisted the Montvale Police Department during a pursuit of a vehicle linked to burglary suspects in its area. The pursuit ended in Nanuet in the vicinity of Lake Nanuet Road and Pittsford Way. Social Media Post Leads To Lockout Of Orange County School A social media threat of violence has led to the lockout of a Hudson Valley school. The incident occurred in Orange County early Thursday, Sept. 19, in Chester. According to Chester Police Chief Daniel Doellinger, officers responded to the Chester Academy after a student reported having seen a threat of violence posted on social media. K9 Officer Mac Joins Rockland Sheriff's Office By Way Of Hungary The Rockland County Sheriff's Office has welcomed a new officer to its K9 Unit -- K9 Mac. K9 Mac is an 18-month- old German Shepard from Hungary that Sheriff Louis Falco purchased using asset forfeiture funds. The new officer is named in remembrance of our department’s recent passing of Detective Al McMahon.  K9 Mac and his handler Officer Angelo Bragaglia will begin K9 Patrol School for the next 16 weeks beginning March 11.

K9 Officer Helps Catch Teen Car-Theft Suspect On I-84  A State Police K9 helped troopers nab a suspected car thief after he helped track down the man as he ran following a pursuit that ended with his tires flattened by stop sticks.  The incident took place around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday when state police received a report of a stolen car in Danbury. Troopers were able to quickly track down the 2017 Honda Pilot as it passed Exit 14 on I-84, according to a state police report.
