Hudson Valley School To Close For Year
Delays from the state Department of Education have forced a Hudson Valley school district to close an elementary school for a year. The school, Fort Montgomery Elementary School, is located in Orange County. According to Superintendent of Schools Michael McElduff, the district submitted all required documentation for the extensive project review to the State Education Department. ORANGE COUNTY, N.Y. - A popular James I. O'Neill High School English teacher died after losing control of his Dodge Charger on Route 300 in Newburgh, topping this week's news. O'Neill Coach, Teacher Killed When Car Crashes Into Pole
James I. O’Neill High School students and school employees are mourning the loss of a favorite teacher and coach who died Monday in an early morning car crash in the Town of Newburgh. Christopher Page, 27, an English teacher at the Highland Falls school for more than three years, was killed driving his 2015 Dodge Charger north on Route 300 around 6:45 a.m., when he failed to negotiate a curve and struck a utility police, according to Town of Newburgh Lt.
