Former Bedford Hills Corrections Officer Sentenced For Sexual Act, Trafficking Contraband
A former correction officer at a women’s prison in Westchester will spend time behind bars after pleading guilty to committing a sexual act trafficking contraband to inmates. Iran Colon, 32, an officer who was based at the Taconic Correctional Facility in Bedford Hills pleaded guilty late last year to promoting prison contraband and criminal sexual act, both felonies, after being arrested in his Staten Island home in May.
