Person Hit, Killed By MTA Train In Hudson Valley A person was struck and killed by a Metro-North train in the Hudson Valley. The incident occurred in Orange County around 2 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 27 in Tuxedo. According to a Metro-North spokesperson, an unauthorized person was on the tracks when struck east of Tuxedo Station and killed. No criminality is suspected, officials said. The investigation is ongoing.  The victim's name has not been released pending notification of the family members.  This is a developing story. Check back to Daily Voice for updates.

Rockland County resident Warle Fernandez-Arias, age 37, was charged with second-degree murder on Friday, Feb. 23 in Spring Valley after his wife, Carolyn Canela, age 36, was found dead. 3 Hospitalized After Car Strikes Pole In Hudson Valley Three people were taken to a hospital following an early morning crash in the Hudson Valley.  The incident happened in Putnam County on Saturday, Feb. 3 just before 4:30 a.m., when a car crashed into a pole on Croton Falls Road in Mahopac near the Westchester border, according to the Mahopac Volunteer Fire Department.  Three people involved in the crash were taken to a hospital to be evaluated, firefighters said.
