A high school senior from Northern Westchester has been identified as the victim of a fatal crash that happened just two days before graduation. The single-vehicle incident happened around 2:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 18 in Bedford Hills on Route 117 (Bedford Road), near Edna Street, between Valerio Court and Green Lane. A unique "social distancing" plan for a Class of 2020 high school graduation is drawing attention amid the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. North Salem High School in Northern Westchester announced through a much-anticipated YouTube video that graduation will be held "quarantine style" at a drive-in theater. A Carmel High School student was able to receive his diploma thanks to the help of the entire 2019 graduating class, and family and friends attending the event.
