Families Displaced After Three-Alarm Fire Breaks Out In Sullivan County Apartment Complex Several families have been displaced after a three-alarm fire broke out at an area housing complex. The fire in Sullivan County happened in the town of Liberty. at the Beaumont Estates apartment complex off Route 52 started early Friday morning, Aug. 20, according to the Liberty Fire Department.  The Liberty Department was assisted by the White Sulphur Springs Fire Department, Swan Lake Hose Co. #1, Youngsville Fire Department, Loch Sheldrake Fire Co. #1 and the Kauneonga Lake Fire Department.  More information is expected to be released. The crash took place on westbound Route 17 in Orange County in Circleville near exit 118 around 12:27 p.m., Friday, June 19, said Trooper Steven Nevel of the New York State Police. Few details were available regarding the crash except one person had to be extricated and the vehicle was on fire, Nevel said. Police say the car was heading eastbound on the interstate in East Fishkill on Monday, Dec. 30 when it went off the roadway into the center median and caught fire. They say the 41-year-old driver was apparently going at an unsafe speed in icy conditions. The Southeast woman was taken to Danbury Hospital with minor injuries.
