Expect Delays: Resurfacing On Rockland Roadway To Span Three Days
Officials have advised motorists in Rockland County to expect delays due to the planned resurfacing of a stretch of road. The Rockland County Highway Department plans to resurface Filors Lane from Hammond Road to Central Highway in Stony Point, Rockland County officials announced. The resurfacing is set to take place from Thursday, July 7, through Saturday, July 9, officials said. Motorists should plan to take alternate routes, the department said.

Reports Of An Unresponsive Driver Lead To Heroin Arrest In Stony Point
A 32-year-old was busted for possession of heroin after police received reports of a driver sitting behind the wheel of his car unresponsive. Isaac Molina of Stony Point was arrested around 10:50 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 15, after police responded to the intersection of Filors Lane and Central Highway for a report of a motorist sitting behind the wheel unresponsive, said Stony Point Police Lt. Home Invasion Robbery Suspect Caught After Foot Chase Ends In Struggle, Stony Point PD Says
A 30-year-old Rockland man allegedly involved in a home invasion is behind bars after he was apprehended following a foot chase in which he struggled with an officer, police said. Stony Point Police responded to a home on Major Andre Drive on Friday, Oct. 12 at around 12:15 p.m. on a report of a home invasion robbery in which the caller reported a male broke into his home, threatened him with a knife and stole property from him. Tomkins Cove Woman Charged With Violating Order Of Protection
A Tomkins Cove woman was nailed for violating an order of protection by Stony Point Police. Michelle Squillante, 47, was arrested Wednesday, Feb. 14, after violating an active order of protection on Filors Lane in Stony Point, said Lt. Daniel Hylas. Following an investigation, she was charged with criminal contempt and released on $250 bail. She is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 20.
