A man was nabbed with an alleged illegal handgun after fleeing from police in the area. Peter Telesco, age 23, of Poughkeepsie, was arrested around 3 p.m., on Tuesday, April 20, in Orange County after the City of Newburgh Police received a call for a man in a grey hoodie with a firearm in the area of South and Liberty streets, said Lieutenant Brandon Rola. A gang leader is facing life in prison after admitting to murdering a man and injuring two others while robbing a card game being played on the sidewalk in front of a laundromat in the area. Skylar “S-Dot” Davis, 22, a “Southside” gang leader, pleaded guilty this week to his role in a racketeering conspiracy, and to murdering Samuel Stubbs during a robbery as he was playing cards on Lander Street in 2015. An Orange County teen was allegedly nabbed with a gun and drugs after officers responded to a Shot Spotter activation. Quasim K. Blamoville, 17, of Newburgh, was arrested a little after midnight on Friday, April 12, after City of Newburgh police responded to the area of North Miller and South streets for a Shot Spotter activation, said Det.
