The blaze in Rockland County broke out at around 4:50 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 30 at 49 Laurel Rd. in Central Nyack. As responders arrived, they observed a single-family home with fire engulfing the first floor. The Orangetown Police Department responded to a working house fire on Glynn Oval in Blauvelt just before 4 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 16.  Numerous homeowners on Glynn Oval observed a large amount of smoke coming from a neighbor's attic vent, police said.
