Hundreds of children from around the area have visited the residence leading up to the holiday, with plenty more expected to take the tour on Halloween afternoon and evening. Philip Perugini, a Northern Westchester resident in Buchanan who formerly called Ossining home died on Thursday, Aug. 9. He was born on May 26, 1922, to Tomaso and Angiolina Perugini. When World War II began, Perugini enlisted in the United States Army and was one of the original “Band of Brothers,” the group of soldiers with the 101st Airborne, 506th Parachute Infantry, with the Easy Company Squad. Entergy announced early Wednesday morning that it has reached an agreement with the Utility Workers Union of America Local 1-2 on a new four-year contract for the union’s approximately 330 workers at the Indian Point Energy Center in Buchanan.
