A New York man won a "$1,000 A Week For Life" lottery prize.
Miguel Arias, a resident of the Bronx, won the second prize for matching the first five numbers drawn in the Wednesday, July 20, CASH4LIFE game, New York Lottery announced on Friday, Oct. 14.
The second prize guarantees a minimum payout of $1 million, NY Lottery said.
The lottery said Arias received his prize as a single, lump-sum payment of $612,240 after required withholdings.

A New York man is celebrating after he won a $1 million lottery prize.
Guillermo Santos, of the Bronx, claimed his second prize for matching the first five numbers in the Friday, July 29, Mega Millions drawing, New York Lottery announced on Thursday, Oct. 6.
Santos received his prize as a single, lump-sum payment of $612,242 after required withholdings, NY Lottery said.
The winning numbers were 13 36 45 57 67 Mega Ball 14, the lottery reported.
NY Lottery said the lottery ticket was purchased at the New Way Deli, which is located at 77 East Kingsbridge Road in the Bronx.

Two men have been arrested in connection with a series of alleged carjacking, robberies, and kidnappings in Westchester.
Diante Fernandes, age 19, and Mark Francis, age 18, both of the Bronx, were arrested and charged on Wednesday, Sept. 28, said Damian Williams, US Attorney for the Southern District of New York.
According to the allegations in the complaint, and statements made in court, between Monday, Sept. 26 and Tuesday, Sept. 27, the duo carjacked, robbed, and kidnapped multiple victims, in the Bronx and Yonkers.

Westchester Man Killed After Car Crashes Into Guide Rail, Leaves Roadway, Police Say
A Westchester man was killed after suffering a medical episode while driving his Porsche Macan GTS on the Henry Hudson Parkway.
The crash took place in the Bronx around 2:45 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 21.
According to the New York City Police, Brian Keating, age 66, of White Plains, was traveling northbound on the Henry Hudson Parkway when he suffered an apparent medical episode and struck the center guide rail before veering to the right across three travel lanes.

Westchester Teen Dies After Being Stabbed During Dispute, Police Say
A Westchester teen has died after being stabbed in the neck during a dispute.
Armani McDonald, age 19, of Mount Vernon, was killed just before 5 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 17 in the Bronx.
According to the NYPD, police received a 911 call of an assault in progress at 2550 Briggs Ave., in the Bronx.
Upon arrival, officers found McDonald with a stab wound to the neck, NYPD said.
EMS responded and transported the aided male to Saint Barnabas Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Two knives were recovered on the scene and a person of interest was taken into custody, police added.
