2 Charged In Larcenies From Vehicles In Hudson Valley
Two men have been charged with allegedly entering unoccupied vehicles in the Hudson Valley at night and stealing various items including cash. The incidents occurred in Rockland County beginning on Monday, Feb. 26 in the village of New Square. According to Ramapo Police Lt. Chris Franklin, the department received multiple reports of larcenies from vehicles within the Village of New Square. Two Hudson Valley men are headed to prison for up to three years for admittedly abusing their girlfriends. Orange County residents Carlos Flores-Banegas, age 31, of Newburgh, and Kevin Salaman, age 34, of Mount Hope, were sentenced in Orange County Court on Thursday, Dec. 21. Man Tries to Break Into Deli With Hammer In Northern Westchester, Police Say
A man is facing attempted burglary charges after trying to use a hammer to get into a Northern Westchester deli after-hours, police said. On Friday, Jan. 13, around 5 a.m., state police were told by Zio's Italian Deli in Cortlandt at 2040 Albany Post Rd. (Route 9A) that someone had activated their burglar alarm and broken a window. A man from the region was arrested after he was allegedly caught by police attempting to break into a liquor store. The incident took place in Sullivan County around 1:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 18 in Monticello. Paul J. A man has admitted to torturing and killing his former girlfriend’s two pets inside her Hudson Valley home.
