Man, Teen Charged In Death Of Man Found Lying On Roadside In Hudson Valley
A 38-year-old area man and a 17-year-old have been charged with alleged manslaughter in connection with the death of another man who was found dead lying on the side of a roadway.
Ulster County resident Joseph Karolys, of the town of Saugerties, and the teen, were arrested on Wednesday, Feb. 22 for the Saturday, Oct. 29, 2022 death of David "Mickey" Myer, age 66, also of Saugerties.

A man has been charged in connection with the alleged violent beating of a woman and then taking deputies on a pursuit in the Hudson Valley.
Ulster County resident, Matthew A. Dequarto, age 23, of Rosendale, was arrested on Thursday, Feb. 16, for the Monday, Tuesday, Feb. 13 assault, said Lt. Joseph Sciutto of the Ulster County Sheriff's Office.
On Feb. 13, deputies responded to multiple 911 calls reporting a woman screaming for help on Springtown Road in the town of Rosendale.

Man Charged With Shooting Of 2 Men At Hudson Valley Restaurant
A Hudson Valley man has been charged with attempted murder in the shooting of two men inside an area restaurant.
The incident took place in Rockland County on Saturday, Oct. 22, 2022, in Haverstraw at the P&D Seafood restaurant at 9 Main St.
Haverstraw police responded to the area of 9 Main St., on a report of shots fired in the area, said Capt. John Gould Jr., of the Haverstraw Police.
During an investigation, it was determined that two men were shot inside the restaurant, Gould said.

Two ex-lovers are facing charges after attacking each other in a Hudson Valley incident that kept escalating in violence as it went on, police said.
The incident happened on Thursday, Jan. 26, around 11:50 p.m., when officers in Putnam County responded to a parking lot of a closed business in Philipstown on Route 9, according to the Putnam County Sheriff's Office.
