Police In Narcan Save Charge Westtown Man With Having 235 Bags Of Heroin

WESTTOWN, N.Y. -- A Westtown man was arrested with 225 bags of heroin and several hypodermic needles after police in New Jersey revived a companion with Narcan, authorities said Monday.

Fair Lawn, N.J. police needed two Narcan doses to revive the overdosing woman, 22, at a local Dunkin Donuts just after 8 p.m. Sunday, authorities there said.

A vehicle search then turned up the heroin and needles, they said.

Police then arrested 22-year-old Eric Strunk of Westtown, Fair Lawn Police Sgt. Brian Metzler said.

The woman was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Strunk, meanwhile, was taken to the Bergen County Jail pending a detention hearing on drug-related charges.
