57-Year-Old Killed In Head-On Crash With Pickup Truck In Wallkill

A 57-year-old man was killed when he allegedly crossed into oncoming traffic and hit the front of a pickup truck.

The crash occurred in Orange County around 2:30 p.m., Friday, Oct.11, in front of 103 Tower Drive in Wallkill.

According to Chief Robert Hertman of the Wallkill Police, an investigation found that the victim, a Bronx man, was driving a motorcycle on Tower Drive when he crossed into oncoming traffic and struck the front of a truck traveling in the opposite direction.

The man suffered severe injuries and was treated on the scene by the Town of Walkill EMS. He was later pronounced dead.

His name has not been released pending notification.
