Port Washington School Superintendent Charged With DWI After Crash Seriously Injures Motorist A Long Island school superintendent has bee accused of driving while intoxicated after a crash on Long Island seriously injured a motorist. Suffolk County Police said the incident occurred at about 9:05 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 24, in Sayville, at the intersection of Railroad Avenue and Depot Street. Shirley Man Accused Of Stabbing Victim At Amusement Park In East Farmingdale A suspect is in custody after a person was critically injured in a stabbing at a Long Island amusement park. The incident happened shortly before 5 p.m. Sunday, July 7, in East Farmingdale. Suffolk County Police said two men who are known to each other were involved in a dispute involving several people at Adventureland Amusement Park, located at 2245 Broadhollow Road. Daniel Tomasky, age 42, of Shirley, then stabbed James Burns, age 47, of Edgewater, Florida, in the abdomen with a knife, according to police.
