Person Jumps From Bridge In Region Person Jumps From Bridge In Region
Person Jumps From Bridge In Region Dive teams, fire departments, and EMS personnel are searching for a person who jumped from a bridge in the region. The incident occurred in Dutchess County at the Newburgh-Beacon Bridge in Beacon around 7 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 17. According to New York State Police, the unidentified person jumped from the bridge on the Beacon side, and a search is ongoing.   This is a developing story. Check back to Daily Voice for updates.

Fatal Crash: 22-Year-Old ID'd As Victim In Capital Region A 22-year-old was killed in a two-vehicle crash in the region. It happened around 2:15 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 29, in Schoharie County in the town of Seward. An electric bicycle being operated by Mackenzie T. Bamberger of Cobleskill entered the intersection from Hill Road.  It was then struck by a vehicle northbound on State Route 10, according to New York State Police. The driver of the vehicle immediately stopped and called for emergency services.  Bamberger was airlifted from the scene to Albany Medical Center, where he later succumbed to his injuries. Emergency crews in Albany County were called at around 8:15 a.m. Monday, June 17, for a small plane that was seen "spinning around" before crashing in Colonie, near Albany Shaker and Maxwell roads.
