Person Jumps From Bridge In Region Dive teams, fire departments, and EMS personnel are searching for a person who jumped from a bridge in the region. The incident occurred in Dutchess County at the Newburgh-Beacon Bridge in Beacon around 7 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 17. According to New York State Police, the unidentified person jumped from the bridge on the Beacon side, and a search is ongoing.   This is a developing story. Check back to Daily Voice for updates.

Fatal Crash: 22-Year-Old ID'd As Victim In Capital Region A 22-year-old was killed in a two-vehicle crash in the region. It happened around 2:15 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 29, in Schoharie County in the town of Seward. An electric bicycle being operated by Mackenzie T. Bamberger of Cobleskill entered the intersection from Hill Road.  It was then struck by a vehicle northbound on State Route 10, according to New York State Police. Emergency crews in Albany County were called at around 8:15 a.m. Monday, June 17, for a small plane that was seen "spinning around" before crashing in Colonie, near Albany Shaker and Maxwell roads.
