Man Who Traveled Across NY To Kill Ex-Wife's Partner Apprehended In Capital Region, Police Say
A man was apprehended in the region after authorities say he traveled hundreds of miles across New York to murder his ex-wife's partner.
State Police troopers responded to a Columbia County 911 broadcast about the suspect on Tuesday, Sept. 17.
The suspect, Andrew J. Case, age 41, of West Seneca, in Erie County, was located and arrested on Route 9 in the Columbia County town of Greenport, according to police.
An investigation determined he was en route to Westchester County with three shotguns, police said.

21-Year-Old Accused In Shooting That Injured 2 Young Girls In Capital Region
Weeks after a shooting in the region left two young girls injured, police have arrested a 21-year-old suspect.
Keovion Goodwine, of Troy, was taken into custody Tuesday, July 2, on attempted murder and related charges. Troy Police did not publicize the arrest until Tuesday, July 16.
According to investigators, Goodwine shot two girls, ages 11 and 14, near Fourth and Madison streets shortly after midnight on Sunday, May 12. Both victims were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

18-Year-Old Car Prowler Busted With Loaded Gun In Capital Region, Police Say
An 18-year-old man from the region is facing charges after he was allegedly busted with a loaded gun while prowling cars.
In Albany County, Cohoes Police were called shortly after 2 a.m. Saturday, May 25, for three people who were reportedly going through parked vehicles on Leversee Avenue.
As officers were speaking with the three suspects, one of them, 18-year-old Ransell Segura, handed over a bag containing a loaded 9mm handgun with an extended high-capacity magazine, police said.
