The state has allocated $3.5 million for shoreline restoration projects at Tobay and Overlook beaches in the wake of significant storm damage and erosion. Fortification work will include dredging the Fire Island Inlet and placing nearly 1.25 million cubic yards of sand at Gilgo State Park, Tobay Beach, and Overlook Beach.
