Winter Outlook Predictions Released For Northeast: Here's What Forecasters Expect With the Labor Day weekend marking the unofficial end of summer, forecasters are starting to look ahead and predict what's in store for the winter of 2025. The US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) says heavy precipitation is expected in the areas shown in the darkest shade of green in the first image above, including upstate New York and northern New England.
