Wegmans Arrives On Long Island: Shoppers Flock To Newest Store For Upstate Cult Favorite
A supermarket with tremendous support from fans in upstate New York has finally made it onto Long Island. Wegmans Food Markets officially opened its Lake Grove supermarket at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 26. The 101,000-square-foot store is located at 3270 Middle Country Road in the DSW Plaza at Lake Grove. This is the first Wegmans location on Long Island, joining 49 other locations across New York. Authorities have released the identities of both the pilot who survived and the passenger who died in a small plane crash that shut down Interstate 684 at the border of Fairfield, CT and Westchester, CT counties for hours.
