48-Year-Old Seriously Injured In Crash On Long Island A motorcyclist was critically injured after police say a car cut across his path on Long Island. The incident unfolded on Saturday, Nov. 9, at about 4:45 p.m. in Lakeview, on Glen Road.  The 48-year-old man was riding a 2023 Yamaha motorcycle northbound when a 42-year-old driver of a 2019 Acura SUV made a turn in front of him, resulting in the collision, according to Nassau County Police. 14-Year-Old Missing Nearly 2 Weeks Among Long Island Teens Located Safe A 14-year-old boy gone for nearly two weeks was among three Long Island teenagers who were found safe after relatives reported them missing. Edwin Palacios Umana, age 14, had last been seen at his Lakeview residence on Wadleigh Avenue at around 1 p.m. Monday, Aug. 5. On Sunday, Aug. 18, Nassau County Police said Umana was located. No other details were given. Long Island 14-Year-Old Has Been Missing For 10 Days Police are asking for help in locating a Long Island teenager who has been missing for over a week. Edwin Palacios Umana, age 14, was last seen at his Lakeview residence on Wadleigh Avenue at around 1 p.m. Monday, Aug. 5. Umana is 5-foot-3 and 140 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. Police said he may have traveled to Flushing, Queens. Anyone with information is asked to contact Nassau County Police at 516-573-7347 or call 911.
