Fatal Long Island Expressway Crash: 30-Year-Old ID'd As Victim, 4 Others Hospitalized One person was killed and four others hospitalized in a single-vehicle crash on the Long Island Expressway. It happened around 5 a.m. Monday, Nov. 11, in Melville. A 30-year-old man was driving a 2004 Nissan Sentra eastbound, near the Pinelawn Road overpass, when he lost control of the vehicle, which exited the roadway, crashed into trees and overturned, according to Suffolk County Police.
