Officers from the Seventh Precinct Investigative Unit raided MR Broadway Deli at 53 Broadway in Rocky Point on Saturday, March 1, after community complaints. Inside, they found customers using slot machine gambling devices and drinking alcohol—despite the deli not having a license for on-site booze sales, police said.

A Babylon man is accused of fatally beating another man during a violent altercation in a Bay Shore parking lot, Suffolk County police announced Friday, Feb. 28.
James Rogers, 66, struck Mark Iacono, 65, multiple times in the parking lot at 107 East Main St. around 8:45 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 27, investigators said.
Iacono, a Patchogue resident, was rushed to South Shore University Hospital in Bay Shore, where he was pronounced dead.
